Recently we partnered with CB&I Philippines Inc. to assist with the construction of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) storage tanks on a project for Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company of Manila, Inc. in Ilijan, Batangas City.
The purpose of the project was to ensure that the tank could adhere to its designed pressures and to make sure that there were no unseen tank leakages. This was undertaken by filling the structure with water and then subsequently monitoring its status. To undertake this WJ deployed three open-frame diesel engine pumps (each with a flow capacity of up to 250m3/hr) – two operational and a single backup which would be utilized should an operational pump fail.
