WJ Philippines are pleased to announce that our Executive Chairman, Dr Toby Roberts, will be giving three talks on Groundwater Management and Dewatering Strategies later in October.
Dr Toby Roberts was one of the founding fathers of WJ Groundwater, helping to establish the company in the UK in 1981. Since this time Toby has become one of the UK’s leading voices on dewatering and groundwater control, having penned the ‘CIRIA C750 Groundwater Control: Design & Practice’ guide with Professor William Powrie and Dr Martin Preene.
The first talk will form a seminar and open forum on Construction Dewatering in the Don Enrique T.Yuchengco Building at De La Salle University on Wednesday 18th October 2023 at 8:00am. You can find more details about this event here.
The second talk, entitled Dewatering Strategies for Tunnels and Shafts, will be held at the Manila Elks Club also on Wednesday 18th October 2023 at 6:00pm and can be attended either inperson or on Zoom. This talk will cover a range of different dewatering strategies, specifically tailored for tunnels and shafts, as well as disussing the various permissions required for these techniques. The third of the talks, entitiled Groundwater Management, forms part of the University of the Philippines National Engineering Centre Free Webinar Series, taking place on the Thursday 19th October 2023 at 1:00pm.
