Whilst WJ have only had a presence in the Philippines for a short period of time, WJ, as a global groundwater control specialist, have been in existence for over 40 years. During that duration one of the main fixtures in the company has been that of one of our founding fathers, and current Executive Chairman – Dr Toby Roberts.
We were recently honoured to welcome Toby to our office for the first time, as he visited the Philippines to take part in a lecture tour. During the visit Toby had a chance to visit our Pampagna Site and Offices and cast his expert eye over one of our Philippines dewatering projects.
As part of his visit and lecture Toby took in visits to Bauer, EEI Corporation, First Balfour, Arup, Shimizu, D.M. Consunji Inc., Sta. Clara International, The Philippine Tunnelling Society, De La Salle University, and the University of the Philippines. These lectures gave Toby an opportunity to meet existing and future clients and suppliers of WJ Philippines as well as giving students an opportunity to benefit from Toby’s extensive knowledge and experiences in the industry.
